First off, I’d like to apologize for not having a comic on Monday. I was too busy over the weekend to be able to get one done. I guess that’s what happens when you actually get a life.

I’ve been back at my job for a week now and things are going well. I’m at a different branch of the company now than the one I was at before, but I’m enjoying working with the people at the new office. I’m the only man in the art department, everyone else is a woman, but this is something that I have been used to since my high school journalism classes so it doesn’t bother me. It feels good to be somewhere during the afternoons again.

I design and layout ads for lawn tractors currently, although I’ll probably start doing other stuff once I have a little more experience working with our main client. The main software that I use is Quark Xpress, a page layout and design program that I learned during my first semester of college. Back then I was using version 4.1, which is still the best version in my opinion. My iMac at work has version 5.0 and it has almost as many glitches as Windows. I have to run it in MAC OS classic mode because Quark 5.0 wasn’t for OSX and that gives it all kinds of problems… although I’m not sure the problem is running it in classic mode. Quark 5.0 freezes all the time for no reason… I mean, I change the tool I’m using and it freezes. I haven’t even found any significant improvements to the program so far in the week I’ve been using it. The only difference is that it breaks more. I miss the good old days when an upgrade was a vast improvement, like a Photoshop or Illustrator upgrade. Ah, I love Illustrator…

Enjoy the comic… I’m out.

So my dad installed a firewall on the network that completely shut down my ability to scan the comics to my computer, which i was unable to fix until it was too late to do any work on the comic. Sorry, it'll be delayed until tomorrow.
